how can they set up the title No Way Home? … It’s a trick Superman has used often to foil Lois and other nosy reporters in multiple comic book issues … Now do you understand how ridiculous the entire premise is?
Months ago, I was hanging out in West Hollywood on the Wilshire stretch, between Western Avenue and Robertson Boulevard and I spotted this huge billboard with Zendaya in full regalia splashed over it. I don’t remember if it was for the Hilfiger collection, but I know it was eye catching.
This week I was driving through the same stretch when I got a text alert on my cell about the upcoming and much anticipated Sony/Marvel Spider-Man No Way Home.
I smiled at the coincidence, probably none, as I vaguely recollected the Zendaya spread as I drove past the same billboard, which was now sporting an ad for Banana Republic, a competing apparel group, of sorts.
I say none, because the Zendaya ad people probably chose the same billboard where eventually Sony would feature their ad for Spider-Man No Way Home a month or so before the premiere in December. And keep in mind the movie had been delayed quite a few months because of the Covid-19 situation.
My mind raced as I quickly surfed my cell for Screen Rant and Collider, two of the more popular tabloid comic book and movie venues that churn as many “revues” as coupons in a mailer. I usually check these sites first for preposterous headlines and supposed leaks the way Men In Black looked for UFO Xeno alien invasion clues in certain magazines and newspapers.
