The news headlines are burning up my laptop screaming the threat of war on the horizon by newest hypersonic missile test from the Russian Navy.  But something has been seriously left out from North American media to create the illusion of the massive crisis Biden is facing and who will undoutedly resolve without as much as a pulse racing or batting eyelids from the predicament the world is facing

ON THE BRINK OF AN ALL OUT NUCLEAR WAR WITH PUTIN’S RED ARMY BRING OUT THE BLACK WIDOW MOVIEGOERS

Why would the Russian government advertise the top speed of its hypersonic missile propulsion technology?  The minute they advertise it to the world the USA, Europe, Japan and even China will start working on systems to defeat missiles with that speed range.

You would think the most simplistic strategies that emerge from decades of cold war and mutual deterrence is that Russia would advertise its top speed as being Mach 5 while its actual top speed is Mach 10, Mach 15 or even Mach 20

While the adversaries are weaponizing countermeasures for Mach 5, the Russian missiles can easily outrun and outgun the new countermeasures

So what kind of strategy is this to advertise the top range and power of your cutting edge weapons technology?  How gullible is the international media that has been reporting the story but never mentions this element of strategy in modern warfare?

The only way to really find out would have to be something like a Firefox scenario where spy agents like Clint Eastwood steal a super fast Mig jet from Russia into NATO territory for study and reverse engineering LOL

Jeff you should keep in mind the United States has long standing protocols for taking care of emerging threats nationwide or those that affect USA interests abroad, rest assured this new Russian threat is being dealt with.

I dont hear alarm bells ringing aside from the usual news media headlines, if anything they seem more muted than is customary and appear to be underplaying the issue, perhaps because the GOP has far more influence over the military infrastructure and Biden and the liberals in the news media are at the short end of the stick.

That said, this was the quick and dirty sum up a few decades ago, who is really in charge of what is anyone’s guess!

The British Reaction?

That’s nearly as fast as Boris can avoid a straight answer to a question.

I scanned some of the English press (normally vociferous on issues such as this) like the BBC and OUCH they are remarkably unable or unwilling to comment on this issue.  Its been at least five days and nothing from the British press except for a tiny piece in Sky News.  And The Telegram, The Daily Mail, the Financial Times, the London Times, The Independent, The Guardian ….

I thought Britain had already formalized Brexit, are they beholden to business interests in Russia or waiting for a wink from the USA to make their play?
